"eptenu" is a coined word of apron + tenugui ; A tenugui is a traditional Japanese cotton towel.

We designed and developed the product because we want you to enjoy meals heartily. It is for those who do not want to regret getting their favorite clothes, suits, or fashionable dresses dirty at the time of a meal. It is also for those who worry about a certain menu dirtying their clothes at certain times of the day.

The unique pattern "Kumi Rokumon" studded on eptenu is designed by Mr. Asao Tokoro. It entails the motif of the family crest of the Sanada clan, which is strong related to Ueda City. Due to the reversible design by traditional dye-printing which has a history of more than 100 years, and is the special technique of dyeing with different colors from both sides on one piece of fabric, you can choose your favorite side according to your mood. And if you fold it, it is super lightweight and highly portable. It can also be used as a hand towel. Instead of disposable paper napkins, use a sustainable cloth apron that can be washed and used repeatedly. Hard to switch between work and private time due to daily remote-work these days, however eptenu provides color the daily dining scene with family, friends and colleagues.

Since eptenu can be used repeatedly and simple home care, it leads to reduction of dry-cleaning cost and waste, and you can enjoy working on SDGs and ethical consumption.

In addition, the worn-out eptenu can be reused as a house-cloths, so it can be used to the end without waste.

Shall we enjoy meals heartily with your favorite dress, without any stress during and after meals?
